woodvale locations
woodvale has plenty of community staples that you'd expect any average town to offer—the woodvale school district, public library, police station, town hall, etc.—but there are plenty of spots which are unique to woodvale and rightfully so!

black locust swamp: more commonly referred to by locals as "area 51½," the swamp is long suspected to be an area of alien activity. located on the outskirts of woodvale, the swamp has a bizarre lack of wildlife. when there is wildlife to be found, those who find it will swear up and down that the frog had three eyes and a blue tongue.

castaway cove: a year-round indoor waterpark. the weather outside doesn't matter because it's always summer in castaway cove, and the hotel-pool combination brings in some local tourism. with 15 slides, 2 lazy rivers, and a wave pool, castaway cove offers plenty of ways for visitors to dive right in.

garden of eatin': one of the fancier restaurants in woodvale, garden of eatin' is a popular choice for date night and special occasions. located next to petal pushers, the two businesses have a long-standing relationship of sharing customers.

hell: a popular themed diner that takes its name very seriously. decked out in all red with fires, heat lamps and even red lava lamps, it's not uncommon for one of the waiters to chime the gong and shout out "tonight, we dine in hell!" throughout your meal.

the hi-road drive-in movie theater: drive-ins may be an endangered species in america, but don't tell woodvale (or guy fieri) that. home to oregon's largest drive-in, the hi-road boasts four screens and three playgrounds. after being abandoned and almost turned into parks, the land was purchased by four college graduates in 2010 who refurbished the movie and turned it into a popular hot spot.

petal pushers: it's not only the flowers that are locally grown and bred in woodvale, but the business itself! family owned and operated, it's not hard for the employees to make you feel like you're a part of the family, and they're a local favorite when it comes to weddings, funerals and valentine's day.

the lofts: almost no one calls the woodvale lofts by its full name. this apartment complex was built in 2012 to meet the rising demand of real estate in woodvale. conveniently located in downtown woodvale, the lofts offers 1 and 2-bedroom apartments and features amenities including a full gymnasium, laundry room, and rooftop that can be utilized by any of its residents.

the tipsy pig: this local bar tends to be a favorite among the college-aged residents of the town. due to its long history and bizarre rituals, the tipsy pig has become quite the fixture of downtown woodvale. although the tipsy pig doesn't look like much from the outside, inside patrons will find a bizarre mixture of memorabilia that resembles a yard sale combined with planet hollywood. the tipsy pig's most prominent feature is the large pig with wings that hangs over the bar, lovingly named chuck by the bar owner.

woodvale aquarium: located on oregon's coast, woodvale is unsurprisingly home to an impressive aquarium. the woodvale aquarium boasts the largest stingray tank on the west coast. with thousands of different fish species, a shark tank, and a fan-favorite dolphin show, woodvale aquarium even has a fish tank just to teach young enthusiasts how to dive so they can finally "swim with the fishes."
